files over
tabs.
look. the world is in an interesting moment. agents can actually write code now. like, real production code. you can vibe out a saas in a weekend and it works fr. a lot of the people doing this are not classical software engineers. theyre builders who figured out that the bottleneck was never typing.
but if you zoom out, most of these builders are building software. because software is what the agents see. software is what lives in github, which has a filesystem, which the agents can read. meanwhile every non-software domain — cad, pcb, simulation, supply chain, crm, marketing, bom tracking, fleet ops — is locked behind mouse-driven ui or closed api. agents cant touch it.
the fix is the most boring thing possible: make everything a file.
every part you design — a file. every schematic — a file. every customer — a file. every investor update — a file. every agent that does work for you — a file. every run of that agent — a file. every bom, every sku, every email draft, every kpi, every thing in the business — a file.
once its all files, you get 40 years of unix tooling as interop for free. you get version control. you get backups. you get search. you get scripting. you get agents — because agents already know how to operate on files. that is literally what every frontier model has been trained to be good at. they dont know your crm. they know files.
the second thing
the second thing is that a vibefounder is not a software founder. a vibefounder is someone who has agents do the work while they think about what to build. they have no ops team. they have no sales team. they have no engineering team. they have agents. and the agents need a home.
right now that home is fragmented. you have replit for code, linear for tasks, notion for docs, hubspot for crm, stripe for billing, onshape for cad, kicad for pcbs, github for version control, vercel for deploys, render for backends, sentry for errors, amplitude for analytics. thirteen tools. and the agents have to learn how to speak to each one. most of them they cant.
vibestartup is one workspace. one drive. all the agents. all the files. all the domains. 16 tabs over the same filesystem. agents that can touch any part of your business because its all in the same tree under the same api.
the third thing
robotics is about to be big. humanoids, drones, surgical robots, autonomous vehicles, industrial arms — the number of teams building physical products has never been higher. and they are all fighting the same infra battle: stitching together cad + sim + eda + training + manufacturing + ops from ten disconnected tools that were built for 1995 workflows and dont talk to agents.
vibestartup started as the platform i wish i had when i was trying to build a humanoid in my bedroom. parametric cad, coupled multiphysics, pcb layout, training pipeline — all in one workspace, all agent-native from day one. robotics is where the pain is worst and the unlock is biggest. thats why its the first chapter. but the platform is for every vibefounder who wants to build something real.
what this means for you
you get a drive. you put your stuff in it. you write some .agent.md files. you go to bed. you wake up and the agents have drafted your investor update, prepped a manufacturing quote, auto-routed a pcb, scheduled three customer calls, simulated a motor mount, and left you a summary in your inbox. you read the summary, accept most of it, correct a few things, and the loop runs again.
thats a vibestartup. one person, infinite agents, all the leverage. and the substrate that makes it possible is boring on purpose — its just files fr.
